Schulenburg 21, Shiner 14
SCHULENBURG - 1A Shiner made life hard for 2A Schulenburg. Everytime the Shorthorns would score, the Comanches would come back.
Schulenburg (3-0) scored first when quarterback Kyle Bludau took the ball in from 8 yards out in the first quarter. Three minutes later, Shiner (1-2) reciprocated with a 30-yard pass from Blaine Caka to Trevian Flowers.
After a scoreless second quarter, Bludau scored again, this time on a 20-yard run midway through the third. Shiner returned early in the fourth when Jacob Stafford hit Evel Jones on a 10-yard scoring toss.
Bludau put it away for good for the Shorthorns on a 1-yard run with seven minutes remaining. It was his third touchdown for the night.

Failed to mention that Schulenburg is ranked # 3 in the state in 2A...This was one of the best games in the area this week.I think Shiner has earned a little respect after sticking that close with Schulenburg...
