Victoria East's Jodie Garcia has already accomplished a lot on the softball diamond.
Now, she can add one more accomplishment to her resume.
Earlier this month, Garcia was selected as one of 30 best softball players in south Texas with her inclusion on the 2013 South Texas Pre-Season High School All-Star Softball Team.
The senior outfielder will be recognized at the Ninth Annual South Texas Winter Baseball Banquet at the Omni Bayfront Hotel in Corpus Christi.
Three other Lady Titans received votes for the large school division all star team, including seniors Lexie Elkins and Monica Salazar and junior Alisha Quintero.
Refugio, a 2A regional quarter finalist a year ago, is well represented in the small school division (1A/2A/3A/private) with three players.
Senior pitcher Cecilia Bauer, senior third baseman Michelle Rosas and junior utility player Morgan Klaevemann were all named to the all-star team.
Woodsboro senior Ashley Barraza received votes to be on the all-star team.
A total of 30 players from 15 area schools in South Texas make up the all-star teams.
The large-school division (Class 4A and 5A) feautes 15 total players from seven different schools, while the small-school division has 15 players from eight different schools.
Refugio placed the second-most players on the small-schools team.
