Three area teams ranked in preseason baseball poll

CommentYoakum, Weimar and Shiner are ranked in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association's preseason poll.
Shiner is ranked No. 2 in the Class 1A poll after advancing to the regional finals last season.
Weimar, which advanced to the regional finals last season, is ranked No. 3 in Class 2A.
Yoakum is ranked No. 9 in Class 3A after advancing to the regional quarterfinals last season.
The top-ranked teams are Corpus Christi Carroll in Class 5A, Corpus Christi Calallen in Class 4A, Waco Robinson in Class 3A, Hughes Springs in Class 2A, and Dodd City in Class 1A.
