Generals rally past Cane Cutters
LAFAYETTE, La. -Billy Richard, Alex Klonowski and Chad Kruse came up with RBIs in the top of the ninth to help the Victoria Generals rally past the Acadiana Cane Cutters 6-3 on Sunday.
Victoria entered the top of the ninth trailing 3-2. The win improves Victoria's record to 24-11, the Generals are one game behind the East Texas Pump Jacks for first place in the Texas Collegiate League.
Brandon Tierney paced the Generals offense going 1 for 4 with three RBIs.
Victoria starter Covey Morrow allowed one earned run and struck out three in six inning of work. He allowed four hits.
Victoria pitched two innings of relief and got the win. Flores allowed three hits and struck out two and improves his record to 2-0.
Tanner Green closed the door on the Cane Cutters in the ninth. He allowed one hit and picked up his fifth save of the season.
The Generals and Cane Cutters wrap up their two-game series on Monday night.
