BRYAN - Brennyn Smith drove a double down the left-field line that scored two runs as the Brazos Valley Bombers beat the Victoria Generals 7-6 at AMB Ballpark on Saturday.
Tyler Schnuriger gets the loss for the Generals as his record runs to 0-1 on the season. Victoria starter Bryce Zak allowed five earned runs on five hits and struck out three batters in 4 and 1/3 innings.
First baseman Rudy Flores and left fielder Jude Vidrine paced the Generals offense. The duo combined to go 6 for 9 with five RBIs.
The Generals continue their four-game road trip on Sunday at McKinney.
