Shiner's baseball team will have to make up for the loss of seven seniors next season.
But the Comanches will have someone to build around.
Shiner shortstop Brady Cejka was selected to the first team of the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association's Class 1A all-state team.
Cejka, a junior, hit .437 with one triple, four doubles and 23 RBIs. He scored 38 runs, stole 16 bases and had an on-base percentage of .613. He also had a fielding percentage of .910.
Victoria West senior Miles Manning was a third-team selection at shortstop on the Class 4A team.
Cuero senior Jordan Boothe and junior Logan Goebel and Yoakum senior Adam Hunter were named to the Class 3A third team.
Boothe was selected at first base, Goebel in the outfield and Hunter at pitcher.
The Class 2A second team included Hallettsville junior pitcher Chris Jones, Schulenburg senior catcher Kyle Bludau, Weimar senior second baseman Ryan Rerich, and Weimar senior shortstop Dylan Blaha.
Schulenburg senior outfielder Logan Lebeda was named to the Class 2A third team.
Shiner senior catcher Zack Reese and Flatonia sophomore second baseman Will Bruns were named to the Class 1A third team.
Manning, Blaha and Bludau played in the coaches association's all-star games at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
