Warriors split games at Fort Bend tourney

SUGAR LAND - The Victoria West Warriors split a pair of games and finished in eighth place at the Fort Bend Tournament on Saturday.
West lost the seventh-place game to Alief Elsik 64-63. Treka Franklin led the way with 21 points and Lauren Rodriguez added 13.
Franklin and Rodriguez combined to hit five 3-pointers.
The Warriors beat Spring Branch Memorial earlier in the day 41-36. Franklin was West's leading scorer in that contest with 17.
West is 6-2 on the season and plays its home opener on Monday against Corpus Christi Moody.
