Gonzales rolls past S.A. Sam Houston

SAN ANTONIO - D.J. Gonzales, Zach Lopez and Alyas Ramirez each scored two touchdowns as Gonzales ran off with a 61-6 win over San Antonio Sam Houston on Thursday at the San Antonio ISD Complex.

Gonzales rushed for 165 yards and scored on runs of 3 and 9 yards. Lopez rushed for 85 yards and scored on runs of 4 and 5 yards, and Ramirez scored on a 2-yard run and caught an 8-yard TD pass from Morgan Martinez.

Matt Hillman scored on a 1-yard run and threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Smith as the Apaches took a 41-0 lead at halftime.

Houston had only two first downs and dropped to 0-6.

Sacred Heart 43, Austin McCallum JV 14

AUSTIN - Leightin Pilat threw for four touchdowns and ran for one to lead Hallettsville Sacred Heart to a 43-14 win over the Austin McCallum JV on Thursday night at Noack Field.

Pilat ran for a 66-yard touchdown before throwing touchdown passes 15 and 33 yards to Jonathan Vanek and 39 and 29 yards to Casey Jirkovsky.

Vanek also scored on a 13-yard run for the Indians, who improved to 2-3.
