St. Paul 19,Brazos Christian 18
BRYAN - Led by two 100-yard rushers, St. Paul held off Brazos Christian, 19-18.
The game was tied, 6-6, at halftime after a touchdown each from the Cardinals' Dylan Barton and the Eagles' Kenny Honnas on runs of 21 yards and 56, respectively.
But St. Paul scored two touchdowns in the third quarter and never looked back. Brazos Christian scored a fourth-quarter touchdown but failed on the two-point conversion.
St. Paul was led by Martin Kennedy's 134 rushing yards on 12 carries while Adam Hollenbach added 115 yards on 17 carries.
In all, St. Paul had 331 total yards.
Honnas had 152 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles, who lost their second game of the season.
