    Jaguars lose in overtime

    The University of Houston-Victoria women's soccer team couldn't hold on to an early lead and fell to Texas A&M-International 2-1 at The Cage on Monday.

    Nori Martinez lifted a shot from outside the penalty area over A&M-International goal keeper Aissa Pedraza to put the Jaguars ahead 1-0 at the 43:28 mark of the first half.

    Sam Zerelli tied the match at in the 65th minute and Alyssa Perez scored in overtime.

    UHV goalkeeper Jennifer Sanchez had five saves. The Jaguars drop to 4-7 and play at Texas Lutheran on Sunday.

    UHV has lost four straight games, three of which were by a single goal.
