    Goliad wins in final seconds




    GOLIAD 21, JOURDANTON 20

    GOLIAD - With no time remaining in the game Friday night, Goliad receiver Jalen Moore ran a 70-yard pass from quarterback Dalton Sturm to push the Tigers even with Jourdanton Indians.

    Sturm, who threw for 115 yards and rushed for 93 yards during the game, then kicked the extra point to secure the victory.

    Leading rusher for the Indians was Brandon Pacheco for 106 yards.

    For the first half of the game, Goliad kept Jourdanton scoreless.

    With 1:28 left in the first quarter, Goliad's Jeremy Pena scored with a 3-yard run.

    Then with 11:27 on the clock in the second quarter, Pena repeated. Sturm kicked the extra point after both touchdowns.

    In Friday's game, Goliad's Joseph Burns rushed for 14 yards and Isaiah Fair rushed for 17 yards.
