SALEM, Ore. - UHV golfer Vance Edwards shot an even-par 72 on Thursday to move into 37th place in the overall standings at the NAIA men's golf championship.
The sophomore made the cut as one of the top medalists, and will play in Friday's final round.
"I putted well, I just made one little mistake," he said. "I stuck to my game plan, and I've been confident in my decisions."
He had three birdies on the day, including on the par-3 No. 6 hole. His one mistake, though, was a double bogie on a par-5.
Overall, Edwards shot 1-under on the back nine in Salem, and was one-over on the front nine after starting the day at No. 10.
