Sacred Heart’s Cole Wick commits to Incarnate Word

HALLETTSVILLE – Hallettsville Sacred Heart football player Cole Wick committed to the University of the Incarnate Word.
Wick, a first-team Victoria Advocate All-Area selection, will sign with the Cardinals, Wednesday on National Signing Day. He was the leading receiver for a Sacred Heart team that won a fifth state championship under head coach Pat Henke.
In 2011 Wick was a TAPPS Div. IV All-State selection on both sides of the football.
Offensively, his 19 catches for 412 yards and eight touchdowns earned him a spot on second team offense, while his 62 tackles and nine sacks made him a first team defensive lineman.
